Coldest? I passed out in Chicago on my front lawn, blind drunk and the wind chill factor was 160 below. My mom woke up in the middle of the night. She claimed she heard me screaming, but I was passed out cold. It was not my time. It would have been a great way to go, I would not even have known it. BUT NO. She HAD to interfere and wake me up and drag my drunk ass into our house and save my life so I will die some much more painful and humiliating way than that even.
In July of 1995 in the NE part of the country, we had a day here in where the air temp was 103* with very high humidity. The heat index was an astonishing 129*, which was very dangerous. It was only one day thank goodness. But a lot of elderly people in the nearby city died.
The coldest was probably a few degrees below zero with some wind, making the wind chill around 40* below. Not too common where I live, but have experienced it.
I live outside of Philadelphia, Pa. That would be in the very SE part of the state.
Both temperature events took place there. I have never lived anywhere else or traveled to any place with a more extreme.

My climactic data is from my unofficial looking cat thermometer on my porch. My records only go back to when I started writing this stuff down when I was 12 years old. I don’t know if I experienced anything hotter or colder before then. The cat thermometer was a present.
So here are my records observed on the porch of my house.
Record High: 101°F on 16 June 2012 and 9 June 2016
Record Low: -32°F on 2 January 2010
Record Low High Temperature: -17°F was the high temperature on 6 January 2014
Record High Low Temperature: 80°F was the low temperature on 30 July 2006
Earliest Freeze: 15 September 2011 Latest Freeze: 16 May 2014
The hottest temperature I remember being in is 105°F while I was visiting family near Denver, CO. I don't remember the date.
