Is better for a rock band to burn out or to fade away?

A buddy of mine went and seen a Sweeney Todd concert on the weekend and he said it almost made him cry when they played Roxy Roller.  They have probably played that song 10X a week for the past 40 years so the grove wears out. When Roxy Roller first came out in 1975 I braved  500 miles threw frozen tundra to buy the album. Most of the travail time was spent in the trains club car but it was pretty cold getting from the train to the cab - like 30 below. Cheers!

It's better to burn out than fade away. At least Def Leppard think so.

What a cracking song this one is! One of the best rock songs from the eighties.

    Fade away, maybe.
