Can you believe parents still allow kids to go trick or treating and eat the candy strangers give them?

I'm not one of the parents that thinks allowing kids to play football is irresponsible.  Like has been said here prior, there's no need to bubble wrap your children regarding everything that might harm them.  Then there ARE parents like those you mentioned that neglect and abuse their children and those parents, I condemn their actions. I think kids should BE kids.  I guess I just worry, even though I don't have small ones, that there are some really messed up people in this world and I'd hate to think of something happening to an innocent child because of some crackpot, even though those risks may be as high as I once thought.
