Why haven't Hillary Clinton and/or President Obama denounced the anti-Trump riots and rioters?

Why isn't the media asking the same of them that they're asking of President-elect Trump?

The violence/crimes that Trump supporters are committing are just that- HATE-based.

The protests that Obama/Hillary supporters have incited are an expression of how they feel about the injustice that has been committed by the unfair electoral college, and a protest against the hateful message that Trump and his supporters have spread throughout the entire presidential campaign. Frankly, I'd be more concerned if the Hillary/Obama supporters DIDN'T rise up and protest these happenings.

Protests are fine.  But destroying property, beating people who they believe voted for Trump, holding signs calling for Melania to be raped...those are crimes.

So you believe that it's OK for one group to violently express hate as long as it's the hate you agree with, but not for another group to do the same?

And is the Electoral College unfair all the time or only this year because you didn't like the outcome? It is the system that we use for every presidential election. With all due respect, you sound like a crybaby. This post was edited by Stu Spelling Bee at November 19, 2016 6:07 AM MST

You didn't read my post clearly enough. The Trump supporters are committing HATE CRIMES, not protests. There's a difference.

So you say. I believe you're making an arbitrary judgment based on your bias. Seems as if there's a lot of hate being shown toward Trump supporters. What's the true difference? Riots and property damage are the same no matter what you call it.

And furthermore, no matter whom one voted for (I speak as one who voted for Clinton and Obama), what's the point of protesting? It won't change the outcome of the election or the reality that Mr. Trump is our next president. Any reasonable and intellectually honest person needs to accept and is accepting this and moving on with life. To my mind, protesting reality is much like throwing a childish temper tantrum - it's the exact opposite of what adults do.

CORRECT!   I just read that when the first protests started they were getting off of buses......not city buses.

I try not to think of a whole half of the country as being part of these shenanigans but it seems to be never ending.  Planned Parenthood had some loaded and ready to go too.  Moveon.org (Soros)  is a big part of the professional protester program.  It still boggles the mind a bit.

  • Actually, I did see Obama about a week ago on television recommending that people accept the democratic vote and get on with working together to improve the country. He looked very urbane and relaxed, as usual. I saw Hilary do the same.

I bet President Obama is really looking forward to leaving office and getting out of the spotlight. I remember how relaxed President Bush was on his flight home after the 2009 inaugural. Being an ex-president can be a very nice life.

  • Just for the record, even though it's quite useless for an Aussie to comment in these matters, I think all sides deserve to keep the right to peaceful protest, and all sides need to be policed when they riot or cause malicious damage. It is my hope that the youngsters who failed to vote have learned their lesson. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at November 16, 2016 12:18 AM MST

I think that they have every RIGHT to ignore whatever happens next and let President Trump handle them.

Maybe I am giving mr Obama too much credit but I believe he would if not for the clinton and soros types who still run the party even after they screwed up so badly to lose the election.

It is good that the mainstream news channels are no longer relevant except to old people because otherwise we would all believe peaceful anti trump protesters were going out there for their own beleifs and not being paid and not being violent and we wouldn't know how many people were suffering violent attacks because they supported trump.
