  • Yes, twice... both times someone I trusted.. I can *read* people and knew these people had that danger but I hoped they wouldn't.  I am a give them enough rope and let them hang themselves type.. they both hanged themselves... was i at fault for giving them enough rope? Maybe... but they had choices... they failed...and now they are EX which in one of the cases was, I am sure, not the intention... Now I don't mean to sound harsh, and both cases were complicated... but in my defence both broke my heart...

    You were NOT at fault for giving them enough rope. No way. They didn't have to take it.

    it isn't your fault for trusting them assuming that's what you meant. they should have been able to control themselves and do the right thing if they cared about you. they were humans, they shouldn't need to be kept on a chain like a dog to do the right thing This post was edited by relavee at December 23, 2016 9:17 PM MST

    Yes, a few times. It ended the relationship. I always told myself I never want to inflict such pain on anyone else.
