Not totally dark.  I like some light in case I want to walk around without tripping or bumping into anything.

I been told by eyes doctors that when you watching television that the light in the room need to be as equal to the brightness of the television. This is very important to protect your eyes. Quick brightness on you eyes back and forth is not good on your eyes. It can cause vision lost down the road and blindness later in life.

This lighting business should not be taken lightly. Your eyes are important. That why overhead lights on the ceiling is the best. It balance the light across the room. You do not what shade areas in a room. You light brightness need to be at the same level as your television or computer. Each one of you look so cute with health eyes. let keep it there.
