  • I saw a meme of that somewhere, but couldn't find it for this question. :) But I tend to agree with that statement. :)

It may be true that only women care about the facial expressions of cats.

    Probably true.
but i understand my cat, mostly. haha
She tells me all of the time what she wants or needs
and I recognize her looks of contentment or angriness.
...But she helps me out a lot, haha. If she wants a brushing and
and I'm not responding she goes over to her brush
and will sit there staring at me or trying to do it herself.
...she has a million meows, from soft and loving, to inquiring,
    to unhappy and happy.
...but let the phone ring, and out of a sound sleep, she's at my feet
talking her head off...lol.  go figure

  • That's because you attention is on something other than her. :) We have a laser pointer for her that we keep on a pushpin on the wall. She will sit under it staring at it an meowing at me until I get it and start playing with her.

I'm a cat guy since age 4. Did ya ever see a cat get the 'big eyes'. That usually means the cat is 'stirred up'. Eyes like slits means contentment. That's really all you need to know about a cat.
