If you support someone a dozen times before they support you once is their one time support worth it?

    If you only needed to be supported one time, then it's enough.  Friends don't keep count of how many times they support each other.

    Then you have to decide whether the relationship is worth keeping or if you're being used.

    I don't keep score on how many times I give support or get support from people.
    Sometimes people need more support  more often then I do. But support either way is always most welcome.

  • I wouldn't keep score but, honestly, if somebody needs propping up a dozen times you'd have to wonder if the effort was wasted. Surely, after the first couple of times, they should start to sort things out.
