The closest I have come to this type of activity is gathering in Chicago for spiritual movements like a mass meditation for peace or some such idea.   I've been through the marches in the 60's but did not physically participate.   They were dangerous and I wasn't all that political that I was ready to go to jail for Viet Nam.   There was a time where I would have gotten more radical, but I didn't march at all.  I saved most of my action for rock and roll concerts.  This was not because I wanted to play instead of take the movement seriously, it was because most of the political voices that made any sense were on stage guiding us through the music.    All of those bands were like prophets to us hippies.  It kept us from beating the crap out of one another in the streets.

I personally have not, but I am not against the idea of a peaceful protesting.  In large numbers, they can bring awareness to important issues.

I'v got over 40 years of protesting under my belt. The first protest was back when Nixon was going to test a nuclear bomb on Anchitca island. I was mostly there to meet American hippy chicks but it also starting me thinking about voicing my concerns. Since then I'v been to many protests - a WTO protest  and lots of logging and coal mine protest on my Island. Cheers!
