DIY: I hand you these items and expect you to perform a mickey-moused bush fix. Can you guess what you are supposed to do by the item list?

1: Two fully charged car batteries
2:  A set of jumper cables
3: some steel coat hangers
4:   a box of borax

What are you supposed to hodge-podge together and perform with these items?

  • Good guess but no.
This is a bush fix.  Something you would do when the real way isn't possible.  Something you would do until you got back to civilization and could preform a correct repair.

Hint.   You either want to do it blind by closing your eyes or hopefully you have the proper eye protection.

Why would you have those items if you are out in the bush? OK, Macgyver...give a hint.

  • Put the batteries back in the car, or you'll never get out. Attach the jumper cables between two trees, use the borax to wash clothes, the hangars can now be put on the jumper cable to dry.

  • Kinda.   Not ideal.
Tie two batteries in series to get 24 volts
Use steel wire as electrode and filler
The borax is for  your flux

You wont win any awards for it though

  • Lots of them.

IDK,  let's pretend a buckle for a leaf spring snapped.

  • I think you need a new truck if it's buckles are breaking all the time.
