  • Oh, yeah. Nobody does it better than Tom Mabe. I wonder if the telemarketer on the other end of this phone call had a nervous breakdown.

My husband asks them "If they know Jesus?" Most times they hang up. But sometimes they have a really nice conversation.

  • They're fun to play with ... One game is tell them you're interested but have something on the stove and you'll be right back... See how long they last

  • I've tried variations on that theme. Put down the phone and come back once in a while to ask, "Are you still there?"

In 2015 we switched our phone to TPG in 2015 (our Internet provider) and Teltra removesd us from their phone book. since then we get only calls from those companies that have old lists..

  • "Tell them you are unemployed."  Most of them aren't allowed to sell you anything if you don't have a job.

  • "I'm not interested, thank you.  Have a good day."  Or simply don't answer.

  • With a seductive tone, "Wow, you sound like you have a pretty mouth. Why don't you come over here and use it." They get speechless everytime. ;)

I just hang up. I remember one time my brother asked them if they were a robot and they said "no" and he's like "oh" and just hangs up.
