  • Bullies have no place at any level of society. I've always advocated firm and decisive action against such persons. Let's distinguish between braggarts and bullies. It's possible to be both and often that's the case. In the case of someone given to bragging, it's ok if they can back it up and prove there is merit in the boast. In fact, Americans love an anti-hero who has a certain amount of swagger. We've had larger than life athletes and prominent persons and they not only commanded our attention, but they also have our respect. Bullies are a force of nature that are disruptive and divisive. They must be met with courage and determination and be made to understand there is no place for their behavior. I'll deviate from the discussion to give my personal antidote for the bully problem, that being a knuckle sandwich.
