  • No I would say the opposite. A judge who is happy with his or her decisions is a judge that is confident in his or her knowledge, skills and ability to apply the law etc. consistently and well. I would worry more about one that made decisions he or she worried about and felt were wrong.. why make bad decisions in the first place - it shows flaws

The judge is not worried that he/she made the wrong decision but rather that the law was applied as written even if the Judge disagreed with the law.
The Judge simply applied the laws as written instead of trying to make his/her opinion fit into the law. Judges do not write laws.

  • Very true.
A judge's job is to strictly uphold the wording and meaning of the law.  There are numerous instances where objectively and accurately doing so would cause conflict with ones likes and desires.

It's not their privilege to do decide on there likes and personal feelings.

Exactly. They don't get to write the laws...that is Congress' job.

As long as they try they should be satisfied that a hopefully fair trial had occurred.

  • Had not heard that before yesterday, but do agree as they try to do what the law says and not just not what they think personally.
