  • Try Fisherman's Friends. They're not medicinal and they won't cure your cold, but they'll probably help your throat. They certainly work for me.

    Dissolve vitamin C crystals in water and spray it into your throat. Straight vitamin C has a strong taste, but sodium ascorbate is much milder.

    Mix some lemon juice, honey, hot water and a pinch of salt (helps the flavor).

    You can only relieve the symptoms of a cold, by using the ways suggested above. You can't cure the cold itself by external means, just help your body deal with the virus.
