  • Nah, America Online.  It was an online service in the 90's and early 2000's.  They mailed out a crap ton of Trial version CDs.  You 'd get one nearly every week and in random magazines.

    At one time, HALF of all CDs in the world were AOL discs.

    I thought they all got used as shingles on artsy craftsy house projects.

  • That's what I heard...hubs attached them on fishing line strung over garden to keep birds out. At night they freaked me out reflecting stars and moon when the wind blew...I thought some one was in our back yard until hubs reminded me!
