Should Trump be able to pick ANYBODY he wants for his cabinet, or does competency matter?

  • Logic dictates that experience counts.. incompetents aka by definition people who are inexperienced and don't know how to do the job could be very dangerous... I think this is against the best interests of the American people.. if I were American I'd want an intelligent Prez who chose people around him wisely, so that they will act in my best interests and the interests of the country.

  • Allegedly Trump has a question or two hanging over his tax affairs.  I think others have mercifully answered the question you put to me but just to add, that personally I think Obama overall did a good job, he was sane, reasonable, respected round the world and did make many improvements from where you were when he came into office.. He genuinely cared. and i think he was getting there.. he had a mammoth task when he first came to office.. I remember people thinking he walked on water but I knew that it was too much expectation and that it would take a lot longer to achieve than people were expecting..
People seem to forget that there have been improvements since he came to office..

Personally I am happy to take the long term, I told you so, approach.. let's see how *Great* Trump will leave America... especially with Trump annoying and alienating the rest of the world, oh apart from Russia..

We are already allowing him to pick his cabinet members and look at how that's going. An incompetent POTUS surrounding himself with even bigger incompetent cabinet members. This post was edited by Zack at February 6, 2017 10:13 AM MST

If he surrounds himself with a bunch of complete idiots, he stands a chance to look quite intelligent himself.

It's like the pretty girl who surrounds herself with ugly girls.
She knows she will get the attention she wants.

I knew one girl I grew up with that popped into my mind when I read your post.  She was the head cheerleader in school and would never make friends with anybody who was pretty.  She said she didn't need the competition...lmbo
