I don't think it's the Baby Boomers you have to worry about, it's the Millennials that would have a meltdown.

Wouldn't bother the Baby Boomers a bit. They know how to survive without a phone.

  • They would open up a book, stick a movie in, or go back to work. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 17, 2017 7:14 PM MST

  • Some would find another activity or actually engage in conversations with others. Some would lose their minds. I know older people who couldn't survive without electronics. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 17, 2017 7:14 PM MST

Baby boomers would get along just fine. Most of us were here before there was electronics.

If the phone company relied on me to stay in business, it would go belly up.  I have a mobile phone plan that allows me 300 minutes a month.  If I use 30 of them, I use a lot.  I'm not a phone person, so I rarely am on the phone other than business-related calls at work.

    (boomers')

In order to show possession with a plural noun, the apostrophe goes after the letter 's', not before it.

I went without a phone for several years after going out on my own in the 70's.  (and no cablevision)

If anything, the baby boomer may very well adapt to this kind of thing easily.
