If you count weeds as flowers I have - seen a dandy lion flowering already (thats very early). Also seen a few weeds that I call poper weeds flowering (pretty early for them too). Poper weeds are kind of neat they get a small white flower and when you put your hand anywhere near them they pop and shoot the seed a few feet away there is a bit of force to it too because if you get hit in the face with the seed it stings a little. Not sure what makes them pop - maybe they sense heat from the hand or it's a motion thing. Cheers and happy weekend!

  • Yes! I've seen daffodils bloomed here and there, trees are budding, and the news has warned of early tree pollen this week! Makes me happy...I hate winter!

You might be happy now, but the fruit farmers aren't. If their fruit start budding they be will killed off by a hard freeze. (which we will be getting.) Winter ain't over yet. This post was edited by Element 99 at February 17, 2017 7:35 PM MST

I don't know.  It's kind of hard to see what's going on underneath the two feet of snow I have in my yard.

  • Morels and fiddleheads haven't even started. Prolly going to be and early season for morels though.  Such a disappointing and half-a** winter we had.

We got no snow at all. I like to get at least one good snow in.

  • We just got an okay one recently. I'm with you though.  I don't mind snow, but I don't like cold rain.
