  • You can come on my tandem bicycle. I'll have Mrs Didge on the back so you'll have to sit on the carrier rack.

  • "Can you drive a manual? It's only a thirteen speed."

It has air-ride seats, television, radio, CB radio, coffee maker,
refrigerator, lap top computer, full-sized bed, GPS and get 5 1/2 mpg.

    "Or we could take yours."

    Yes I can drive manuals!

    Umm, let's take yours.

Mine is a day cab so none of the bells and whistles but it's only a ten speed that has a wimpy wimpy Paccar engine and it's governed at 65 miles per hour but it gets about 8 mpg with that wimpy Paccar engine which is why my company loves it so much.

    I miss the 13 speed.

  • I choose OTR ... no family at home. It's a company truck, so it's governed too. Reason the fuel mileage is so low is the company leased a few Cat engines, to try them, and I got one of them. They have bigger fuel tanks on the Petes, so the range is about the same as their Freightliners and the Cats work great on the hills!

Mine is a manual too, but way less gears. I'm not even sure I can drive automatic. I'd probably hit the breaks using left foot searching for the clutch. Ay ay ay. No good. Brake disks might be like...
