Poke? What does it mean to "poke" someone?

Under our profiles, when we become friends with someone it says I can "poke" them.  It sounds a bit dirty.

So, what is this poking stuff?  Is it a game?  Does it have something to do with Gumby's pal Pokey?  Am I buying a pig in a poke?

What?  What is it?  WHAT????

Why did I know you were going to pull that one up? Now, give me my Poison Ivy. It's getting late here. Oomph.

Why were cowboys referred to as cowpokes? They poked cows.

    With a branding iron 'course.

Wanna be poked anyone? This post was edited by Kittigate at February 20, 2017 3:46 PM MST

  • Cowboys are also referred to as "cowpunchers."  I don't think they like cows very much. :)

I'd rather be giving than receiving.  So, I gonna give you a poke.

You have already poked SapphicHeart. SapphicHeart has not yet responded back to your poke.

We can only send one poke at a time. A second poke can only be send if the receiver has responded the first one with a poke back, Miss.
