At my age the only person who asks whether I prefer legs or breasts is the kid on the counter at Red Rooster.

I like someone who has a good inner sense of justice. Also hair would be nice. :p

Oh, I didn't see the "physical" part. Ignore first sentence! (Or don't!)

  • Dang, Standard, you've really hurt me. My next question was about dating a bald man. I know what your answer to that will be. :D

Thanks for answering (and you won't be the only person to miss the 'physical' bit).

  • I joined that Question Diversity group which obliges me to ask five or so questions every day.  I thought they'd be hard to find but mostly they just pop out of nowhere.

  • Hi Stuart. Glad you came across. I'm afraid the other site doesn't have much attraction any more. It's good to hear from you.

  • Eyes and A-- ...er, that is, her backside.
These are secondary priorities after establishing she can A) carry on coherent conversation, and B) has excellent hygiene. She has to smell good too.  This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 23, 2017 6:48 PM MST

  • I have a Lebanese friend whose wife has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. Honey coloured. I could lose myself in those eyes.

And, yeah, ya gotta have something to talk about.

  • She misses no opportunity to remind me of exactly that. I'm good with it, she's right, after all.

  • A beautiful mind and heart, along with a great smile, hair, and can rock that little black dress. Wait, that's my wife .. never mind.

  • Much laughter from this end -- including Mrs Didge after I read it to her. Great description.

  • Time takes a toll on people, some sooner than later. I still see the same misses from, oh so many years ago.

The eyes.   It's been said the eyes are the windows to the soul.

and, of course, seeing my reflection in them is important.

  • When I look into a woman's eyes it's not my reflection I see but little hearts going kerbump, kerbump...

The eyes and a certain way that someone carries themselves that show a certain confidence and warmness about them.

  • Both good points. Eyes can be very appealing and that confident presentation is always a winner.

If she is wider than I am, that is a deal breaker. I have an aversion to any woman who reminds me of my grade school teachers.

  • I was watching a Scottish crime show years ago where a rather fat senior detective was hitting on his younger  colleague. She said, "I only go out with men whose breasts are smaller than mine." That'd hurt. :(

I sure am getting old. I used to answer that question with "It depends on whether she is coming or going."
