Why is it ok for the Mexican government to control immigration along its southern border with Guatemala, detaining and deporting people

from ANY country who enter Mexico illegally or attempt to enter Mexico illegally, yet it's NOT ok for the United States government to do the same thing along its southern border with Mexico?

They are self-serving hypocrites? YOU be the judge.

That's their culture. We shouldn't judge their culture...

I don't understand your response, "their culture".  Both governments are doing the EXACT same thing on their respective southern borders, so whose culture do you mean?

What do you mean "their culture"?  Both countries are trying to enforce their respective laws. Culture doesn't have a thing to do with this.

Sink Mexico, Central America and South America and that will solve the immigration and drug problem. No wall will be needed. I just thought of that.

That's a damn good question and I wish I had the answer. It doesn't make any sense to me. I think we should deport all illegals. I'm no fan of Trump, but I hope he's successful with getting and keeping illegals out.

Mexico needs to build a wall and Guatemala needs to pay for it.

  • That's a very good.question.
Also I think you underplay the situation at the border of Guatemala with Mexico.
I have talked with a lot of Guatemalans and they talk about the.almost brutal treatment they get from the.authorities in Mexico when they get detained. It is.far from simple deportation. Good point!

  • I don't deny tho.
I have many times owned up to my deficiencies.
Interestingly enough, I was just told that pretending to act righteously while at the.same time acting passive aggressive and sarcastic, is not acting with integrity.
So. . .yeah. . .I know. . .im trying to.get better... Sometimes. . . Some people just pull out the best in me.
I don't understand why some one with your sense of humor wouldn't find me funny.
    You see?
    That's passive aggressive right there.

So lemme get this right. Guatamalans KNOW they are going to be mistreated if they enter Mexico illegally, and when they enter Mexico illegally and get mistreated, they're upset????

Maybe they shouldn't commit the crime in the first place.

I'm saying, when someone commits a crime and gets caught entering a country illegally, while knowing and understanding the consequences, they accept the risk.

It's difficult to be sympathetic with criminals.

  • Firstly I don't think you understood what I wrote.
Secondly, I thought for a second that you were actually trying to try to have a conversation with me.
    But you weren't.
If you want to.talk honestly. I'd love to. Really.
If you just.get an itch and feel like you have to go.to someone and blurt things out, do it with somebody else.
