The only thing that is actually within your power to do...remove yourself.

I didn't vote for Doofus Donny. I assume you did. I'm not the one I'm talking about Bozette. You and your like-minded cohorts are. Thank you for your reply. Happy Thursday.

You really shouldn't assume things, Rosie.

You made it clear who you were referring to, but it is not up to you to banish people because they did not vote as you wished.  If you have a problem with the president and those that voted for him, you are free to banish yourself at any time.

    Happy Thursday, Rosie!

So I have your permission then to get the he** outta  Dodge? How kind you are B. How do I repay you for your consistent kindness and good humor and informative thoughtful helpfulness?. I shall come up with something. I always do. Meanwhile you take care of yourself little lady. Don't  take any wooden nickels or play hopscotch with unicorns. Wouldn't want you to impale yourself. Get hoisted on your own petard as it were so to speak. Thank you for your reply.

Oh my...are you wishing bad things upon me, Rosie?  You consistently bash the president and all who voted for him, and that is certainly your right.  Just as it is mine to tell you that you have no right or authority to banish others, though you can remove yourself from the equation at any time.

  • I got a laugh out of that "Happy Thursday, Rosie". Thanks, Bozette. I've been looking for a decent question to answer and the site is swamped with this rubbish.

  • Ya gotta admit, it was clever, Rosie. Et tu?? I try to be friendly, Rosie, but I've mostly kept away from your trumpeting so that I didn't offend you. The site would be a lot more pleasant if you could find a way to ease off a little.

And, yeah, yeah, I know. It's your right. But other people use the site too.

  • Clever, Glis. No, not a lot.

Somebody once quipped that "The puritan through life's sweet garden goes, to pluck the thorn but throw away the rose." There are a lot of thorns in this rose garden.

I collect quotes that stike a chord in me, and that one does.  I just searched and cannot find the author anywhere, and I do like to attribute quotes to the authors whenever possible...sure it wasn't you that once quipped that, Didge?  :)

  • No. I have to take the blame for a lot of original stuff but that's not one of mine. Sadly.
Just Googled it and find it was written by Kenneth Hare. I got one word wrong (throw should have been cast). Here's a link

Thank you!  Wonder why I got nothing from either google or two quotation search sites.

    I like this one:

    "I'm a critic---I don't do anything; I just cut down flowers."

Although I would personally not apply that to Rosie.

(I think you know I can get pretty direct when I want to, Didge.)
