    The billboard was near Culver City, California and JC Penney sold out of the teapots instantly, just as Penney was hastily removing them from their inventory...also took down the billboard.

  • Dozy, that is actually how I first found this teapot!
    I had taken your word and looking it up on the Internet...and amongst all the clouds, land formations, ets. ...came upon this teapot from JC Penney...
    There are also some buildings that look like Hitler, maybe I will try to find one of those for Veena.K, too, she seems to enjoy the teapot.

  • Dozy, you mention a bit of a stretch...I wonder sometimes, reading about these associations people make with Hitler...if he is somehow embedded in our collective psyche, something like little children might often see monsters in shadows...

  • There were certainly parallels between Trump's promises before the election and Hitler;s promises during the 1930s, but I'm not going to push it any further than that until I see the Third Infantry parading down Pennsylvania Avenue led by battalions of goose stepping soldiers.

    Hitler always had a definite set of beliefs. I don't think Trump really believes in anything. He just says whatever he thinks the audience he is speaking to at the time wants to here. Sure, he said things that could be likened to Hitler. I just don't take him seriously at any level, and I don't understand anyone who does.

  • Fair comment. The only comparison I can see is that Hitler's appeal to a Germany left impoverished after WWI was similar to those disadvantaged people, primarily in America's "rust belt", who were looking for employment and economic stability. Like yoiu, I don't take the man seriously. A promise is one thing; delivering it is something else.
