What wouldyou consider a "Good Death"?

If you could decide your end, what type of fate would be fitting for you?

To die peacefully in my sleep while dreaming of having the best sex of my life.

  • Would it be the sleep following the best sex of your life?

Nope.  I've given this a lot of  thought.
I had an Uncle that said he wanted to die in bed while having the best sex of his life.  Although I felt it wasn't a bad idea, ultimately it would be a terrible situation to leave your partner in.  So, I decided I'd rather be alone, dreaming about it.

Hmmm. Maybe it would work if I had the best sex of my life the night BEFORE I dreamed of it and passed peacefully! Whaddaya think?

What makes you think the best sex you could ever have HAS to be with another person present?  :)

  • I want to be gunned down while protecting my family from invaders from the planet Zorg, sometime in the 25th century.

    Worst way to go? Alzheimers!

  • If that's true I might get another hundred years on top of their invasion.

    reach the stage Where

    ANY death of the body?

Dying via fire, being shot or stabbed, tortured by ISIS, drawn and quartered or suffocated would be "OK by you"? This post was edited by ProblemCh1ld at March 19, 2017 1:30 AM MDT

  • Dear Zee,
I got that one worked out quite a while back, thank you...
When the time arrives, I want to go into a deep meditation, known as mahasamadhi = the great meditation, and simply not come back.

This fellow did it, 1952 I think it was...Paramahansa Yogananda, he was giving an after-dinner talk in Los Angeles, and when he finished he simply mentioned that he was leaving now, and gently fell to the floor...this is the beautiful photo a reporter snapped about an hour before Yogananda's "death."

I think it's kinda classy exit, don't you agree?

  • Love it.
    Just simply "leave".  Outstanding.
    Elvis has left his body.
Z has left his mind.... This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at March 14, 2017 6:33 PM MDT

I agree, we cannot avoid our eventual death.  However,  I wonder just how many deaths we avoid by practicing safety and being cautious, i.e., looking both ways when crossing the street, not acting like Mario Andretti, not taking rides from strangers, not drinking and driving, not jumping into the deep end of the pool if you can't swim, not running with scissors, etc.
