Do e-Books hasten dementia?

Mrs Didge has been reading e-Books lately but today is reading a paperback. She said that a couple of times she reached the end of a page and swiped it to go to the next page. Yesterday she held her finger on a word she didn't know to get the dictionary meaning.

Has she lost the plot? Does she need professional help? What do you recommend?

  • Mrs. D is wise.  I keep a paper pad and write down unfamiliar words to look up later or I get a dictionary and look them up right then.  For the swiping she is just messin' with you.  Mrs. D is a reader, I salute that.

Plus Mr. D I purchased your "Mistress..." novel today.

  • Thanks, Whistle. I hope you enjoy it.

It's interesting that she's doing things like this, though. She can no longer change gears in a car (problems with her hand) so we traded in our old Toyota on another, same model. It's automatic. I'm the one with troubles there. After a lifetime spent driving manual cars I often find my hand dropping down to the gear stick ready to make a change.
