  • My all time favourite, too. I'm not big into boxing movies but that one was outstanding as well as unforgettable.

It's about Big John wanting Red and he has to fight her brother to keep her.......it's hell'airous one moment and sad the next......it has the most wonderful storyline and so unlike all the stupid films every film maker is pumping out now....,
I'd say watch it again.......it's well worth it..... I first saw it with my parents when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old and many many times since......

  • Not exactly about Ireland but about two Irish Brothers. Boondock Saints

Tired of the crime overrunning the streets of Boston, Irish Catholic twin brothers Conner (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) are inspired by their faith to cleanse their hometown of evil with their own brand of zealous vigilante justice. As they hunt down and kill one notorious gangster after another, they become controversial folk heroes in the community. But Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe), an eccentric FBI agent, is fast closing in on their blood-soaked trail.

  • I think she would be fine with it. :) It was a great movie...made me cry several times. Of course, the book was a lot better.

    Sorry.

It was Far and Away with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise from years ago.  It starts out in Ireland and they play Irish characters.  One of his better efforts
