OMG, It's The Vernal Equinox, What Are We Going To Do About This???

...or, the autumnal equinox if you are antipodeally inclined...
So many holidays in March, all stacking up on us...pi (3.14) or pie day March 14, and just on its heels the Ides of March, then St. Patrick and now an equinox...how are you holding up, with all "the darling buds of May" coming down fast upon us now?

  • Just means I have to run the pool sweep and clean the filters and add water conditioner. Just more work to do. But it will be swimming weather soon also. Nothing we can do about it but go with the flow!

  • I'm fresh out of ideas. Had you mentioned the winter solstice instead I might have been more forthcoming.

    My friend was a programmer/analyst for Qantas and every year on the winter solstice the entire section had a short lunch. It was short only by occurring in celebration of the equinox and continued until the last drunk had left. After the celebration, my friend always went to sleep on the train on the way home and one year he slept so soundly that he missed his station and was carried far into the mountains.

    The following year he was presented with a beautifully crafted sign to hang around his neck for the trip home. It read, "Please wake me gently at Blaxland."

  • Spring stresses me out cos I have to plant flowers and make my yard look nice to keep with Jones' :) I'm not good at that kinda stuff ... Meh :/ at least I think that is what your question means? ... Spring coming? I don't know those other words ... That's fine.

  • Oh Jaimie yes that is absolutely what I meant, and all the words well my heart kinda soars at equinox/solstice stuff, I love to think about Earth and Sun, alignment and equatorial all things scientifical like that...
