Do you get the feeling that the people we help elect into office have some sort of personality disorder?

Most if not all of these people have the inability to empathize with their constituents. Something being displayed outright by the political parties.

  • Sure. It happens at all levels. The vast majority are self-serving, power-seeking egotists. And they're the good ones.

Heinlein's definition of an honest politician was "one who stays bought".

A smart, older rich guy once told me the situation with these political folks --------------- they have giant egos.

Yes they know they got a nut loose somewhere but they think if they can get into positions of power and authority then it won't matter.

In lesser positions they would more likely be vulnerable to being bullied.

I have read that most successful executive have sociopathic characteristics. I wouldn't be surprised if that is also true of politicians.

  • I've experienced health care in four different countries now.  The UK was by far the worst, Germany was good, France was pretty good but the wealthy French still go to private hospitals and pay cash.  If you want the government to provide good health care then be prepared to pay big taxes and the other thing is do you really want the government to have control of your health care?
