I like giving people those vomit flavored jelly beans just to see their reactions

I don't think I've ever had spicy jelly beans!  Is that a special treat made only for Easter? I don't celebrate it so I don't go out of my way to look at the candy on the shelves.  Is Brach's the only company that sells them?  The only jelly beans that I've tasted and ever liked, are Jelly Belly.

  • 49 flavors? And two pounds...for the serious jelly beaner apparently, never saw those, missed out as a child!

I don't remember them being around when I was a child either.  I think they gained in popularity and distribution when Ronald Reagan was in office, due to his very public love for jelly beans.

  • Spiced are the old school kind.
Ever had a spiced gumdrop?   Same thing.

No.  Never tried spice gum drops.  I'm not a big candy fan.  I don't like candy that tastes like I'm putting a tablespoon of cheap sugar in my mouth.  Sorry to say, that's how I've always felt about Brach candies.  And, if you are insulted by that, well, all I can say is, too bad and, ..... Brach you! :-)

  • I'm not either.   A little holiday candy is all I really eat.  That's kinda why I like the spiced beans and gumdrops and licorice.   Cuts the sweet.

Brach's did use to make this really good hard candy called lolly-drops I liked as a kid but haven't seen it since the 80's.

  • Not much of a fan but everyone on both sides of my family swears you have to let them go stale.

  • Yesssss! It's the only way to eat them! If I get them, the first thing I do is open the plastic and leave them sit out!
