How can anyone possibly defend disco music?

It's by far the worst kind of music as a whole and it's lasting influence on pop music has been nothing but a travesty.    From the sound to the style it's tacky and an assault  on the senses and good taste.

It's a clear sign that mixing Quaaludes and cocaine is a very bad idea.

    I love disco. It was great dancing music and if you listen closely you can hear that it was the mother of hip-hop. Disco was clear, clean, great beat. Our local oldies station has been playing a lot of it lately...along with a lot of Motown, which I grew up with.
