I was called once. But they settled it before it got to court.

  • Yes...Once. It was so stupid.
Lawyers suck and they lie like so bad.
We found the guy guilty...It was a Real Estate Scam case

  • No but I spent a week having to sit in waiting room that was so crowded and hot that it felt like  I was in a third world police station. Finally my number was called for interview and I luckily didn't get picked.

I'm surprised they let you get away with that.

well needless to say they don't like it...but there are circumstances when it's allowed not to serve.... i am not saying it's right.. i think the general presumption is that one should do it if at all possible

I have been summoned.  I have appeared for jury duty.  I have been placed in a trial pool.  I have been stricken and I have been accepted and actually sat for that trial.  I have answered this question many times.

  • Called up once but rejected by the defence attorney. I think I was wearing my horned head that day.

Twice.  Once in an attempted murder trial - found the defendant guilty.  The second time was a statutory rape trial plus 11 other charges.  We found him guilty on four charges, not guity on three charges and the jury couldn't agree on the rest. Yes; murder trial. Case was at a pub not far from me.

I had toothache developing into an abscess.

The defence made a technical submission about the evidence. The lawyers went into a huddle, and we were instructed to declare him not guilty.

All a bit of a waste of time.
