Does anyone else have this happen to them?

I have gmail and sometimes when I am writing an email and start typing the recipient's name, a drop down menu appears with names of people I don't know.  What's up with that?  They are not even in my contacts list.

  • Yes.  This happens to me.  I suspect the cause is belonging to a large group mailing list with lots of people I don't know.

  • I get that with Yahoo mail also. I'll click the "X" to be rid of it but it's there again the next time I post an e-mail. So it's not just gmail that does that.
