If someone were to describe you as being "crafty" would you take it as an insult or a compliment? Why?

    First definition is
    "skillful in underhand or evil schemes, cunning, deceitful, sly.

    Second definition is
    "skillful, ingenious, dextrous"

    Sounds like a compliment to me. I guess it does have kind of a negative connotation, but I also take it as a compliment when people tell me I'd make a great con artist.

    I choose to ignore the first definition you have outlined and will focus on the second.  Compliment.  If people call me crafty they like what I produce, so why feel insulted?
