Tell folks what they want to hear so they elect you. Once elected back down on everything you promised. What can they do to you? Right?

Assure the people that backing down and kicking the can down the road means nothing. You will still keep every promise you ever made to them. Eventually. One day. Soon. Or maybe not so soon. But don't believe the media or anyone else who tries to tell you anything different.  A promise made is a promise kept. Eventually. One day. Soon. Or maybe not so soon.
