I try to see the funny side of everything, that sometimes requires me to be very silly. I do take some important things seriously, but never take myself too seriously.
That's why you are so well-balanced m'dear. Or maybe part of why. Some things have no funny side and to make light of them I think is insulting. But there are things that are so ridiculously absurd that taking them seriously is a waste of serious in my opinion. Thank you for your reply Sbf! :)
