No.  I like the hand-held ones better for those hard-to-reach places. This post was edited by Livvie at June 8, 2017 6:19 AM MDT

    Hello Veena dear.

When I want a shower, I want a shower.  I ain't too picky as long as the area is clean and the shower head works.

No problem but I would wonder why somebody went through all the trouble to make that rig when a shower head can be bought pretty cheap.

Midway through having a shower? If that was you wouldn't you just wrap yourself in a towel and make a quick run to the hardware store?

Risky showing his hardware in a hardware store? That wouldn't have to happen. Just pay quickly and leave.

Nope. Very inefficient and wasteful of water.

No.  I have taken showers with no shower head.  I had to be very careful to use very low pressure.  You could put your eye out otherwise.   We had taken the shower head off to clean it and sat it somewhere then couldn't find it.  I had an appointment so I was the first to use just the shower pipe sticking out of the wall.  I still laugh about it sometimes.  This was before the days when you just ran and bought a new one.......watching every penny while hubs was still in college.   We did find it but I don't remember where he said it was.

Probably. That looks like the extent of my plumbing skills, and if I couldn't afford a new shower head, I would totally build something like that to limp through until I could.

Friends were having an issue with their private sewer system and were trying to let as little as possible go down the drain.  They rigged up a shower with the outside garden hose and a big blue tarp between their house and a storage shed for a few days before the repair was done.     That was an adventure in the joy of home ownership.  We've all had them!  :)

Full marks for ingenuity - though as Kittigate wondered, why did its owner not simply buy a proper shower-head?
