Are human races different than breeds?

    Yes, it's different, I think. Humans are just one breed type (if we were to be described as a breed, that is). But just like cats and dogs of the same breed, we come in different colours. Except skin colour in humans are more to do with environmental adaptations, rather than.. erm I don't know why animals are different colours. Just like our different coloured hair I suppose! I think animals are different to us in that they have so many different breeds, but really, most domestic dog breeds are genetically engineered by man. We are not far off doing this to ourselves, so yes, we may eventually get some mutant human breeds.
