  • Sadly, I am rarely shocked to discover that some people are stupid.  It seems to be a prevalent and malignant trait throughout society today, as crude as that is to say.  What does leave me surprised, rather pleasantly so, is when someone unexpectedly displays a keen intellect working in tandem with an open mind, or better yet a sense of humanity operating in tandem with a loving heart.  That is when I am most gobsmacked.  Those are characteristics of which we are in most desperate need.

    Yes, I've known this for quite a while.. what has taken me by surprise is how many of them there are and it's taken me a while longer to realise that there really isn't any point trying to explain things to them..
