    There are too many silly superstitious beliefs already.

    I’d rather advocate for the pursuit of evidence-based knowledge, instead of conjuring up more fairy tales. Further, I will not engage in any enterprise, such as traditional religions have (and do), that requires lying to children to perpetuate it.
