If AnswerMug were a street gang, and rivalries existed between various Q&A websites, what would your role be in a gang fight?

Caveat: you’re a member here, so you HAVE to participate, refusing to fight is not an option. Failure to fight is considered showing cowardice in the face of the enemy. Don’t be a punk.

That sounds like pure hell to me. Call me a wimp and a coward. And a punk.

Someone told me I needed to watch the movie "Hacksaw Ridge" because I strongly reminded that person of the main character. Literally fighting with people is something that hurts and sickens me to my core.

Maybe the best I could do is be a conscientious objector. Or hand out PopTarts to my fellow AnswerMuggers and feed them during lapses in the fighting.

I have great respect for those in military service -- many are my closest friends. One, very close, very hard core (corps?), just shakes his head, kids with me, laughs, and knows I am not of military caliber.

Having a rough morning. I'm sorry to disappoint your requirements. Just the thought of your scenario is difficult for me.
    Oh, well.
    :)
    or maybe a

A likely excuse. What are you, an undercover cop embedded in here to bring us down?

Yeah, I probably would be the best undercover cop ever - - no one would ever suspect me. But, wait - - you just did -- shoot! There goes my cover ha!

Not to bring anyone down, but I guess my original answer still stands. And I could never be a cop of any kind, either.
    :)

(That "Hacksaw Ridge" movie -- I was in tears before even the opening credits were over from what I remember. It took me three and a half days to get through it. I had to keep stopping it because I got so emotional. After finally finishing watching it, I asked one of my exercise pals why she wanted me to watch it. She said because the main character reminded her of me.  And I started crying a bit again. I'm such a wimp, ha. But to be compared to such a person as this guy in the movie - - I can't remember his name but he's a real person -- just goes beyond my comprehension. I'm incredibly humbled.)

    blahblahblah, sorry --

I'll go get the Poptarts ready maybe. :)

There is one thing that really sets me off----------- mean dogs that chase me when I'm out for a long bicycle ride. I fly into a rage with mean dogs! One time a big, angry mutt came at me and in my anger, I stopped and picked up my bike and tossed it at him. I'm too old for that sort of thing,  so now I carry a can of hornet killer that shoots a stream of nasty stuff.

  • I'd be the one to dramatically say "It's time to bring the fire".  Followed by a nod in Jaimie's direction.  She snaps her fingers and we all have a laugh as they burst into flames.
