When stressed, I tend to eat more - especially junk food.  However, due to the current circumstances, I don't have any junk food, so I've lost some weight.  Which is actually a good thing as I need to lose some weight.    Hmmmm....   that gives me an idea.... 'The COVID-19 Diet' - available soon at a bookstore near you.

I can't blame Covid 19 m'dear(thank goodness) but I was 117 last week and I"m 110 today. Once I get my appetite back I'll be good to go. Thank you for your reply Shuhak! We're getting tons of rain. You?

I measured over 4-1/2 inches of rain; with nearly 3-3/4 falling on Sunday.  It's all shifted south now, leaving being partly cloudy skies.

That's a lot of rain but of course northern California is blessed with more rain than southern California. We face today and tomorrow with more rain. Yesterday was very weird though. It poured like crazy then stopped and the sun came out. Repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat. I'm not joking. It did that all day long. It was so odd. Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 9, 2020 9:56 AM MDT

I don't get stressed very often these days.  I find myself eating out of boredom when I'm home.  As long as I'm out of the house, I'm fine, but once I get home from work (when I used to GO to work), I would find myself in the fridge every two hours.  I haven't gotten on the scale lately, but I wouldn't be surprised if I've put on some weight because I've been in the house for more than two weeks.  Happy Thursday. :)

Thank you L. It's very good to be back. My struggle now is to get my appetite back. I try different things but only eat a bite or two and then I'm done with it. Never thought I'd be struggling to keep my weight up. Thank you for your reply.

I wish I had that problem.  Being in the house so many hours, I am always in the fridge.  I'll be lucky to fit through my door when it's time to go back to the office.

I just had two cups of coffee and 1/4 of a raisen toast/swiss cheese sandwich left over from yesterday and I'm full. My internals are back to normal so I'm just still feeling weak but DEFINITELY I'm on the mend. Slowly by slowly. After all it is illogical to think I could bounce back as I would have when I was in my 20's. I think I am very healthy and so that helped me get through it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday. I'm so glad you are staying inside. You know I live this kind of life all the time so it's no chore for me. In that way I'm very lucky. STAY SAFE my friend! :

Underlying good health is always a plus ad does help us bounce back.  No, we can't snap back like we did in our 20s, but there are a lot of things I did in my 20s that I wouldn't dream of doing now!  Looking back, I don'r know why I even did them back then!  Glad you're feeling better.  Happy Friday. :)

Both! I both eat more and eat less. Sometimes I forget to eat, when I am very stressed. This was the case lately when I spent 14 days 8am-11pm solid working on a resub of my final assignment.  I didn't even know what day it was, let alone whether it was lunch time..  But the reverse can also be true, feeling stressed and worried can mean I cheer myself up with things I shouldn't eat.. comfort eating.. And of course, at the moment, many of us can't really get out much to exercise..

I guess it would depend on the nature of the stress. Thank you for your reply Addb! :)

My appetite doesn't change, but WHAT I eat does. When I'm stressed, I do gain weight because what I eat is less healthy and I exercise less. Right now my exercise regimen is severely disrupted by lockdown and a sprained ankle.
