No. I was at the riot in St Louis at the Guns N Roses concert. GNR left the stage early and people went nuts.   We left.   I used to have a piece of cushion from a seat.

Security was not any better next time we went. My cousin smuggled in a camera. We were seeing Metallica that time.

I attended a demonstration that became riotious one time. That was when our idiotic provincial premier  (Gordon Campbell) reduced minimum wage to $6./hr (for certain people) from  $8/hr.

Did you throw Molotov cocktails or just bricks. Did you participate in the 2011 Canucks Stanley Cup riot?

No sir, I was not anywhere near that. I don't like to be around unpredictable maniacs.
The demonstration thing I did attend just  started getting out of hand then police managed to break up the crowd.

I rode past a protest. There were about 50 protesters and a bunch of cops. We gave 'em the old 'Right On' fist pump thing.

Ya  one of  the riots in Detroit during the 60's we were on  Bobolo  Island at the time and none of us could swim so it was pretty scary.  We wern't there to participate  in the riot we were just in the wrong place at the wrong  time. Cheers and happy weekend!

My sister lived in Detroit at the time. She got robbed in the street, but the didn't injure her. She was talking to mom on the phone and I could hear her screaming.

Gordon  Lightfoot made a real cool song about the riots called -  Black Day In July and that song helped me understand/cope with the Bobolo Island thing. Cheers and happy weekend!

  • Nope. No interest in riots or loud protests. I participated in a silent protest of the UC Davis chancellor after the infamous pepper spray incident. It was amazing. Much more meaningful than screaming and violence.
