Do wet masks filter as well as dry ones?

The water park by my house is opening on Friday and they say they'll have masks available to purchase. Is there even any benefit to wearing a mask in that environment?

    Stay away from places like that....don't trust what any money making concern says....you only get one life so always let common sense prevail..

    Yes, for the old people who are just watching the kids/grandkids. 
    I think a wet mask would be a suffication risk.

    I’m just imagining how ridiculous it would be/would look to wear surgical masks and bathing suits at a pool. What a paradox. How far things have come.

    They all filter something. Paper and cloth ones will not filter viruses.

    Regular surgical masks are waterproof, as long as you don't wear them inside-out. 


    Don't bother with a homemade/fabric mask around water.

    You're not supposed to wear them upside down, but many do because they don't realize. There's a strip along the top part that you can push down so it rests against your nose to give a better fit.
