Don't you feel they all have their own toealagies?  If you didn't have your big toes, both having definite jobs complimenting each and your toes right next to those, who have a job as well to keep your big toe in line and further down the line, they don't want to be named digits?
Digits are for numbers.  Not body parts!!,
