Do you believe in evolution?

It's not a personal attack, Shuhak; it's only pointing out that a certain idea, that the theory evolution claims that man descended from apes, is a false idea.

There's nothing wrong with being a person of faith - but if one chooses to not accept the evidence of science, it is helpful to first understand exactly what evidence that is.

    Evolution yes.
    All life evolves.
But i do not believe man evolved from monkeys.
I believe Man evolved alongside of them.

Correct. Monkeys, apes and humans evolved separately from a common genetic ancestor, over millions of years.

Well, yeah---but then I would have to argue that some monkeys have become quite adept at passing themselves off as humans---lol

We may also say there are humans  who do poorly at distinguishing themselves from, say, baboons. :/

Old joke-->what do you get when you cross certain humans with apes; Answer:  Retarded apes.

I believe the PHYSICAL evidence. Faith has nothing to do with anything.

No. I believe kind produces it like kind.

I do not believe that my oldest ancestor was a single celled organism.

I don't see it as a matter of belief.
The science articles I've read (and documentaries I've seen) explain each phase of evolution.
Follow it from atoms to RNA and DNA.
The right circumstances arise naturally because of the laws of physics.
In a universe as large as this one, the number of G2 type stars with planets with favourable conditions for life is so vast that life cannot not arise.

The proof is abundant, and there is no other explanation for life that makes any sense. This post was edited by inky at May 26, 2020 2:53 PM MDT

Yes, I do.  There is certainly more scientific proof of evolution than there is in the Bible.

    I believe in De-evolution.

It doesn't matter what I believe, it only matters what they believe, see Manly P Hall, the Seven root races.

I do and I don't think we climbed down from the trees to let a little coronavirus defeat us so lets use our fabulously evolved brains and beat it. Cheers!

No, for sure not what may be deemed as macroevolution, possibly might what be deemed as microevolution. For example I don't believe that a tardigrade and a blue whale have a common ancestor which would take macroevolution but I believe that finches could have different sized beaks or that guineas and chickens could have a common ancestor which may be deemed as microevolution?

The theories seem to keep evolving though. I think now it is taught that al life descended from a few common ancestors?
One thing that doesn't seem to evolve is that a scientist that challenged the non-proven theory would likely be hatefully ridiculed.
