Coily electric one.  I have flat one but it is stuck at my parents house.  We got it up there and on the way back the transmission is our truck started making a weird noise so we left it and took our van home.   The truck is still at my Dad's but he thinks it will be done this week or next.  (He works on cars and sells tires for himself at home.)

Thanks, I was wondering if the coily ones are still around. I‘ve had a flat top for a few years now. They’re so much easier to keep clean. Hopefully you get yours home soon :)

Coily electric one, I don't like it.  It burns uneven, bring back gas stoves, I protest.

They make gas stoves, I think they are very expensive though.

LOL. For one thing, I am already married. For another, it would never work. I couldn't live in an igloo, wear a toque, and say "eh" all the time, eh.

The gas stove is the standard inexpensive one.

I see, I thought they all expensive. I don’t know, I don’t have one and have never really looked into getting one.

Stu, this Jaimie woman married a FedEx delivery man the other day, last week it was a tree “surgeon” (probably really an intern or an orderly), heck, she’s even married and divorced me about half a dozen times!  Is you had a hot plate hooked up to a hand-cranked generator, she‘d marry you. Grrrrrrrr.

Well now I’m stuck in the house for a week and a half,  with no human contact. So I’ll probably be married to a coaster by Thursday. Sorry, I’m taken.

In our house, keeping the stove and the oven clean is my job.

Once at a party we had here, one of my wife’s friends who had not been in our kitchen for several months remarked that she really loved our brand new stove. My wife told her it was the same stove that had been there for at least ten years. The friend was amazed and couldn’t believe it, asked my wife how she kept it so clean and looking brand new. My wife told her that I am the one who cleans it.

Lol, I find this surprising. I would think you just lay on the couch ordering sandwiches all day ;)

      Grrrrrr. Why you dirty . . .

If I weren‘t stretched out on the couch waiting for my afternoon sandwich, I’d go straight over to your place and, well, you’re lucky, that’s all.

What a good husband. I can't imagine how many grilled sandwiches you have cooked on it.

Er, um, correction: all the sandwiches she has cooked on it.
