I mean seriously folks who would willing leave New York for Florida if he/she were very rich? Of course the trump has never been a fan of culture or literacy or the arts. What is he a fan of? HIMSELF and he can do that HIMSELF SCHTICK much better in Florida cuz New Yorkers can't stand him! So he ran away. So long UNION.

    I do not believe all FL residents are racist "confederates."  That is a mighty big brush there. 

    A lot of the retirees there even come from NY.

  • I truly hate to be the one to tell ya this but the Confederacy ceased to exist in 1865. As long as we're on the subject of comparing apples and oranges, I should say that we Conservatives probably relate to the good folks in New York and Florida far more readily than those in the land of bizarre beliefs on the Left Coast. Is there any way to give that little socialist experiment back to the sovereign nation of Mexico???

    You may or may not be aware of this but it was the "Democrats" who formed the Confederacy. Who, in their Secession Papers, hysterically indicted Republicans for posing a threat to their way of life. So we can now see why these modern-day book burners on the left are so desperate to tear down Statues of Confederates, across the country in an effort to rewrite the hate and racist history of the Democratic Party over the last 240 years.

    I'm not sure that's why Trump became a Florida resident.  I think it has more to do with taxes - Florida doesn't tax its residents as heftily as New York.  I think Florida also has more beneficial estate tax laws.
