  • Instead of getting ready for the big cold of autumn,  I'm getting ready for the running nose, watery eyes and sneezing of spring.  It begins shortly for me.  The flowers and trees are beginning to wake up from their winter sleep, and they're thinking of only one thing, reproducing.  Their pleasure is my misery.

Those trees along the road look way cool. Cheers and happy weekend! This post was edited by Nanoose at September 19, 2020 12:37 PM MDT

Why is that street so empty of traffic?

  • It's a picture I found online.  It doesn't have a time stamp, but it was uploaded on a Saturday morning.  It must have been taken early on a Saturday morning, before there was traffic.

I found the place where the picture was taken.  The view is to the southeast.

Absolutely.  I don't like the heat.

I’m not looking forward to it; I’m one of those people who prefers hot weather. The good thing is that I live in San Diego, California, so even at its coldest, the weather doesn’t get too, too bad here.  By coincidence, I was just telling my wife this morning as she was getting ready to go to work that I’ve really enjoyed this summer, I took advantage of the great weather to exercise early in the mornings at least four or five days every week. (Wait, you weren’t eavesdropping here, were you?)

I am but my Christmas cactus  are not. They are still hanging around outside figuring that we are still going to get a Indian summer. I'm going to try and lure them in the house this weekend  with a trail of tinsel and Christmas tree bulbs. Cheers and happy weekend!

NO, a thousand times NO.  I like a temperate climate year-round.

No. Autumn lasts about a week and then it's winter. I hate winter.
