Lol, what the hellz is that?? This is the second 80’s song you’ve posted in a week I’ve never heard before and I though I was an expert at 80s stuff. You win the 80’s lol.

From the movie "Short Circuit" with Ally Sheedy and Steve Gutenburg (sp?) and other people I don't recall. I think Johnny might be a robot, but I'm not sure. Very crappy 80's movie, in my opinion.

El Debarge was pretty dreamy in my young teen mind! Of course, most male singers were. Hehe! I had pretty indiscriminate taste back then. ;)

If only I HAD won the 80's! :P

    I'm very open to :

    A)   -  see Baba's answer for my choice; even though I really love Nine Inch Nails' original, I love Cash's cover)
    B)
    D)
    E)
    F)

I am NOT open to C; Huge "NO!" to C)    :)

In fact, other than Shelley Duvall's, to me, terrifyingly honest portrayal (thanks to the bordering-abuse treatment of her by director Stanley Kubrick), I really do not like director Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" movie at all -- and I detest Jack Nicholson's over-the-top-to-me performance -- I literally GROANED out loud and almost walked out of the theater at that moment you mention in your poll --
PLOT SPOILER!!! here we have, at that particular moment in the movie, Shelley Duvall TERRIFIED for her life, and Nicholson comes out with his famous ad-lib line (I've read that Nicholson adlibbed that line) and the theater breaks out in laughter. to me, this is NOT a moment that an actor or director would be inspiring laughter in context of that movie's particular style and plot. But, it's not my movie, I get it.
I've also read that Stephen King did not like Kubrick's "The Shining."

Nicholson -- I admit I let him ruin that movie for me. I admit I compare this movie to King's novel too much. If I had not first read King's novel, I may have enjoyed this movie. The movie has some great moments. But Nicholson acts bat shi* crazy from the get-go -- unlike King's character as written in King's novel.

But, let me mention director Mick Garris' made-for-TV mini-series "The Shining" - - THAT'S Stephen King's "The Shining" and actor Steven Weber as 'Jack Torrance' IS the Jack Torrance of King's novel for me -- Weber is my man when it comes to this movie.

Whoa! I've gone way over the top myself in "voting" my answer in your poll! Ha! :)

You have strong feelings about this movie, yes? Lol. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the movie in its entirety. I feel like I’ve seen enough clips to pretty much get the movie though. I won’t be putting it in my watch list after your review lol. I feel same way though about any movie I’ve watched that was based of a book of read, it’s always a let down for me.
